I forgot to mention this — a couple of months ago I changed my twitter name. I am no longer using the missmacchiato moniker because I associate it with AwK, which is mostly defunct. If you’re on twitter and you want to follow me, I can be found at jleigh612. I try to post something there daily, sometimes with pics.

I have too many websites. It probably doesn’t seem like too big of a deal since I’m not required to post anything anywhere, but I’m going through a season of examining all of the irons I have set out in different fires because, you know, I have a lot of them. This isn’t the first time I’ve brought this up. I’m looking at everything in my life now, even the small things, trying to figure out how I can stop spreading myself so thin.
One thing I want to do is consolidate a lot of my web interests to my personal blog. That means what I was doing on my old WoW guild website will start appearing here — in the form of abusive and hilarious and somewhat inappropriate screenshots, for which I’d like to apologize in advance. As Kerry politely pointed out to me, this will label me as a huge nerd, but you already knew that so it won’t be a surprise to anyone. Food will probably start appearing here as well. Ken and I are in discussions over what we’d like to do with AwK, but nothing conclusive. It’s been fun thus far, but I’m rethinking the effort I’ve been putting into it. Do I want to continue to put all of my energy into that? No, I don’t. We may continue AwK, we may not. Either way, we’ll make a decision and get back to you because, if we aren’t going to use it, Tom will probably want to stop paying for the domain when it expires (ha!).
The point of this post is to warn you that I’m about to revamp this tiny, personal blog, and you’re about to see a wider variety of things here.

A couple of weeks ago, my mom asked me what my school plans were for the fall. I had to be honest and say that I had been absolutely loving my time off from school. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to go back. I wanted to use every minute of spare time to write.
But I knew that wasn’t the whole truth: My house is still half finished; I haven’t really touched it since we put the kitchen cabinets back on. I’m an interior design failure due to my own laziness.
My school has a few good looking writing classes, and even some available online. Kerry and I had a brief chat this morning about how much he really loves the online classes, and it encouraged me to give it a try. In the back of my mind, I was ditching the whole interior design idea.
Then I looked at my degree spreadsheet.
I keep an electronic document of what I would need to finish the Interior Design AA degree (yeah, nerd alert). The classes I’ve taken are greyed out. I guess I had forgotten that I am almost half way through an AA degree in Interior Design. Now? Well, now it’s a different story. I am encouraged. I can do this.
I just registered to take Ancient Art History, a required class for the Interior Design degree. I’m really looking forward to it and I can’t wait to get back into the grind. Some people don’t do well with structure, and some people do. I think I’m one of those who requires it. When I don’t have a lot of stuff going on, I get lazy. If I have structure, then I work harder to find personal time to accomplish things. That probably sounds crazy, and it’s because I am a little! Back to school… And it’s going to be great.

Have you ever wondered what could possibly be worse than watching paint dry? How about watching cheese mature? Some folks have way too much time on their hands…
